Lan-Oak Board Members

Lolly was appointed to the Lan-Oak Park District Board in 2021.

Lolly and her family have enjoyed the amenities and activities of the Lan-Oak Park District for over 20 years.

Lolly holds a BA in Business from DePaul University and a MSJ in Compliance Law from Seton Law School. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, in addition to experience in education, social service and entrepreneurship.

Lolly values diversity and inclusion and desires to assist the park district with continuing to grow programs and activities that will address the needs of the community.

Robert Tropp – Commissioner

Appointed to the Park Board in November 2013. Bob has been a resident of Lansing since 1999 and has two children, Tim and Collete.

Bob is currently on the Executive Board of the Lansing Old Timers as Vice President. He also helped coach Lansing Lions Football and served as President during his 13 years of being involved in the organization. He would like to get the community more involved in the programs/organizations and open up communication.

Bob started his career in the shop of Metron Steel Corporation and has been working for the same company for 30 years (even though the company has changed names 5 times). He is currently employed by Kloeckner Metals as a CAD Specialist.

John Kelly – Commissioner

John was elected to the Park Board in April 2009. He has lived in Lansing and been married for 20 years to Lisa, and they have 4 children: Elyse, Sean, Erin, and Shannon.

He has served as the Chairperson for the Planning and Bike Path Committees served as a member on the Finance and Personnel Committee. His goal on these committees is to use his financial background and project management experience to create a reasonable and sound plan to renew and revitalize our parks in Lansing. He also would like to open the lines of communication to the community and expand services and programs that are being requested.

John is currently employed with NOKIA, as a Program Manager. He has over 10 years of project management experience running hundreds of projects for many of Chicago’s Fortune 500 companies. He received his MBA in Finance from DePaul University and his Bachelors in Applied Computer Science and Industrial Technology from Illinois State University.

John is currently presiding as the President of the Magic Tree Resort Board of Directors. He continues to serve the community not only as a Park District Commissioner but also as a director and/or coach in many other Youth Organizations such as Little League, Girls Softball, Volleyball, and St. Ann’s Basketball.

Gina Aguilar – Commissioner

Gina was appointed to the Lan-Oak Park District Board in June 2021.

Gina has more than 30 years of experience in financial services and is an advisor with the Lakeshore Group Office of William P. Maar at Thrivent Financial, a fee-based planning practice in Valparaiso.

Gina served on the board of the Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce and St. John School in Lansing. She has been a Trustee for Lansing’s Police Pension Fund since 2010.

Gina and her husband were married in 1998 and have two children. Gina’s family has utilized Lan-Oak Park District throughout the years and appreciate the professionalism and respect from the staff, the organization of events and the cleanliness of the Eisenhower Center and the parks.

Gina’s goal is to continue building on the park district programs that provide family-friendly activities that residents can enjoy.
